Vansdirect are celebrating success after receiving a 100% score in 2021's BVRLA audit. The annual audit took just 40 minutes, in comparison to the previous year's which took over eight hours.
Although 2020's audit overall resulted in a pass, a 'get well plan' was put in place by the BVRLA highlighting areas of improvement to focus on.
Made up of several different assessments, the audit ensures companies are adhering to BVRLA's code of conduct. Evidencing policies, processes and procedures in areas such as compliance, FCA, financial promotions, training, complaints, sales process, customer record keeping and data protection.
The process helps members achieve a minimum standard and earn a place within BVRLA's membership programme. Recognised as one of the UK's fastest growing trade organisations, a BVRLA membership provides customers with the reassurance that they are dealing with a business who adheres to the highest standards of professionalism and fairness.
Vansdirect Operations Director, Samantha Ward, was instrumental in leading the improvement project over the past year, helping to deliver audit success for the business.
She said on the achievement: "I was immensely proud when I received the results of the audit, and it demonstrates the effective processes and controls we have as a business. It is a testament to the work our incredible team does on a daily basis to ensure we deliver an outstanding motoring experience through honesty and trust.
"During the last year we have undergone a significant amount of change as a business in how we operate, completely reviewing all department processes and procedures to ensure we exceed our customers' expectations whilst adhering to the guidelines set out by the BVRLA."
