Toyota Hilux Invincible 50
Toyota vans have unveiled the new special edition model at the Frankfurt motor show. The new pick-up van is based on the existing Invincible trim level and is expected to arrive in the UK next year, 50 years after the original Toyota Hilux pick-up van went on sale in 1968 in Japan. Toyota vans have now sold more than 18 million Hilux pick-up vans in 180 countries around the world.
The Toyota Hilux Invincible 50 promotes the anniversary of the model, whereas the specification is targeted at the segment of dual-use buyers. The double cab format means that the new pick-up van is ideal for family and leisure use at weekends, whereas a one-tonne payload is more than sufficient for a variety of different business users in the week.
The features on the new pick-up van are designed to maximise appeal to dual-use buyers, with a host of accessories which Toyota vans believe demonstrates how the Hilux pick-up van "can be equipped for work and play."
In conjunction with the eye catching graphics on the exterior of the new van, the model also boasts a whole host of features over and above Invincible models, including: 18-inch matt black alloy wheels, BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres, matt black rollover and side bars and black front under-run protection and wheel arch mouldings.
On the bed of the new pick-up van, you'll find a rugged plastic liner and a tool box, other bespoke features also include: Invincible 50 logos on the scuff plates, floor mats and leather handbrake trim.
