Renault vans have renewed their campervan range with the launch of the Renault Trafic Esterela at the CV Show 2018! The new four berth van contains a built-in kitchen, connectivity for an external power supply, a gas hob and running water!
New Renault Trafic Esterela
Based on the Renault Trafic medium van, the new van has been converted by Lunar Campers and offers a spacious and comfortable living area, in conjunction with sleeping quarters, all in the relatively compact area of a long wheelbase, low roof Renault Trafic panel van. All models of the new Renault Trafic Esterela camper van receive a manually operated pop-up roof, in conjunction with heating, water and lighting systems.
You can swivel the front seating around creating a living room area, with the rear bench seat having seating for three adults. As for the kitchen area, there is an impressive 25-litre fridge, a sink, a hob and running cold water. The hob and running cold water are supplied by an internal water tank and gas bottle in the van. During periods where the gas burners are not required, the gas supply can be disconnected by a switch at the rear of the van, or remove the bottle to refill if required.
Convenient camper van features don't stop there, you also get a handy 90 litres of storage space in various cupboards and drawers, a fresh and water tank and a portable toilet. There's also two double beds should you wish; the first can be found by sliding the rear bench seat forwards and lowering, whilst a second two person sleeping area can be found in the pop-up roof compartment.
The new van has heating, lighting and water systems that are easy to operate with an electronic control panel, whilst there is also an external connection for the electronic mains supply. There is a secondary battery which can be topped up by a 100W solar panel on the van.
The new van takes styling inspiration from the Renault car range, being finished with alloy wheels and metallic paint, whilst the van is powered by a Euro 6 compliant twin-turbo four cylinder diesel engine which delivers 145ps and is hooked to a six-speed manual transmission. The Renault Trafic camper van gets a host of driving aids including hill start assist and Grip Xtend control, the Renault Trafic camper also gets: DAB radio, air conditioning, cruise control and parking sensors.
