Isuzu celebrates its birthday with a new pick-up, the Centurion
Isuzu has announced a limited edition D-Max pick to commemorate the company's 100th anniversary.
Staying with the theme of '100', Isuzu has named the new pick-up the Centurion and has limited production to just 100 vehicles. Priced at £30,999 (+VAT), the Centurion features over £11,000 worth of added extras - making it the most luxury D-Max model to date.
The 2.5-litre 163PS doublecab Centurion comes with Isuzu's five-speed auto transmission, returning an official 38.7mpg. All 100 models will be finished in 'Fjord blue'.
Exterior features include 19-inch black and silver 'Hurricane' alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli's 'Scorpion Zero' tyres along with front and rear spoiler fitments.
Practical pick-up
Stainless steel side bars and steps as well as black and silver roof bars ensure practicality and convenience while enhancing the pick-up's appearance. Integrated into the front bumper are LED headlamps that incorporate daytime running lights and fog lamps. For extra security, the load bed comes with a cover with remote tailgate locking.
The interior cabin continues the premium feel - rigged with an in-car entertainment system featuring an eight-inch touchscreen, while sound output comes through six speakers. In the back there's a drop-down, ceiling-mounted 10.2-inch monitor complete with two wireless headsets. A rear parking camera displays its view on the rear view mirror when reversing.
Isuzu's commemorative pick-up went on sale on the 100th day of this year - April 9th - and lucky owners will find that their new pick-up has a unique plaque, numbered 1-100. Just like the rest of the D-max range, a five-year/125,000 mile warranty is standard.
