CV Show 2018 - Vansdirect preview!


With the CV Show 2018 fast approaching, Vansdirect previews what to expect from the major new van brands including new vans and options from industry giants Ford vans and Volkswagen vans!

 

The new van industry's largest event will take place on April 24-26 at the NEC in Birmingham and will feature hundreds of different exhibitors including a range of major new van manufacturers displaying new products and innovations. With over 20,000 visitors expected at this year's event, here are some of the expected head turners!

 

Ford vans

The market leader in the new van market, Ford vans are expected to be incredibly busy at this year's event, the brand are remaining coy about one of the new van launches, however they have already confirmed that the new Ford Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom will be present at this year's event in conjunction with the new Ford Transit Connect and Transit Courier vans. A Ford Transit Custom plug-in hybrid van will also be on display at the CV Show, encouraging discussion about the ongoing London trials.

 

Toyota vans

Toyota are also expected to grab plenty of headlines at the CV Show, by firstly holding the European premiere of a new top of the range Toyota Hilux pick-up, the new model is expected to feature a re-designed front end and interior modifications and will celebrate 50 years of the Hilux pick-up. Toyota vans will also display a limited edition Hilux to extend the celebrations, only 150 of the model will be available in the UK. Toyota will also display a new Toyota Landcruiser Commercial model, which will be available in both three and five door configurations. Toyota's other van, the Proace will also be displayed, with a new camper van conversion, the Toyota Proace Lerina debuting at the show.

 

Isuzu vans

Isuzu will use the 2018 CV Show to unveil a new limited edition Isuzu D-Max in conjunction with a selection of accessory packs developed specially for the pick-up. Also expect to see a converted Isuzu D-Max model, with Isuzu looking to show-off the broader range of models available which also includes a cherry-picker. Additional D-Max models including the Blade and Arctic Trucks edition will also be on display.

 

Volkswagen vans

Volkswagen will be using their stand at the CV Show to debut a new range of Business Edition models, which will be available to add to the Volkswagen Caddy, Transporter and Crafter vans. The packs feature regularly specified extras including rear parking sensors and alarms allowing customers to save money on the options. The brand will also display a range of their fleet solutions and technology at this year's show alongside the new all-electric Volkswagen e-Crafter van!

 

Nissan vans

The entire Nissan vans range will be on display this year, including the new electric e-NV200 40kWh van. A recent upgrade to the battery has meant that the new van has gained a 60 percent range enhancement to 174 miles. There will also be the traditional NV200 van, alongside the NV300, NV400 and Nissan Navara pick-up.

 

MAN vans

Renowned for producing the larger trucks, MAN will also be displaying vans on their stand at this year's show following on from the UK launch of the MAN TGE at the CV Show 2017. MAN will launch the new MAN TGE rear-wheel drive model in conjunction with the launch of MAN "vans to go" body solutions, with bodies including Lutons, tippers and dropsides.

 

SsangYong vans

SsangYong will be displaying the all-new SsangYong Musso pick-up at this year's CV show, following on from its European debut at the recent Geneva motor show. The highly capable new pick-up has seating for five, has space for a Europallet in conjunction with a payload in excess of one-tonne and a 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

 

Renault vans

Renault will be displaying no fewer than 13 vans on its stand this year, with the new Renault Master ZE taking centre stage. The Master ZE is the second all-electric van from Renault and will be available towards the back end of the year, the Kangoo ZE will also be appearing with a fridge van conversion. Other highlights from the stand will include a UK debut for a Renault Trafic Camper van conversion and a Renault Master double cab fitted with a new aluminium Tipper. Renault will also display a range of factory fitted conversions.

 

Peugeot vans

Peugeot will be using the CV Show 2018 to launch their new 'Built for Business' range of van conversions, there will be six models available including: Luton, Low-floor Luton, Dropside, Tipper, Curtainsider and Box van. All of the six conversions will be based on the largest model in the range, the Peugeot Boxer. You can also expect to see examples of every model in the Peugeot vans range, which includes the Boxer, Expert and Partner vans, with the Peugeot Expert being on display as a Long crew van in top spec Professional Plus trim. Peugeot will also be displaying the Partner electric van in Royal Mail livery.

 

Citroen vans

Sharing a stand with Peugeot at the Show will be Citroen vans, allowing visitors to view both PSA brands in close proximity, handy if you can't decide which you prefer. Citroen will also have their entire new van range on display at the CV Show, with the Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay vans all present. Citroen will also be displaying a 'Ready to Run' conversion, a crew cab tipper based on the largest van in their range, the Citroen Relay. The Relay panel van will also be in display as an L3H2 top spec Enterprise model, whereas there will be two Dispatches on show: a M Enterprise model and an XL variant. The line-up will be completed by an L1 LX Spec Citroen Berlingo.

 

Fiat vans

As usual, Fiat will have a large stand at the CV Show, with the stand set to be centred this year on a new range of Sportivo vans. The new Sportivo trim level will be available across the entire Fiat vans range. In addition to these new additions, Fiat will also be displaying a Ducato ambulance, Ducato Luton van, Fiat Fullback LX, Fiat Fullback Cross and a Fiat Doblo Cargo Workup which is a unusual small van converted into a dropside.

 

Mitsubishi vans

The main attraction at the Mitsubishi stand will be the new Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP II. The limited edition version of the iconic pick-up van will be limited to 150 UK models. The limited edition model will be available in black or grey with the most unique orange features.

 

Nissan vans

Nissan will use the CV Show 2018 to display the new 40 kWh Nissan e-NV200 electric van, which will gain a 60% range increase and be capable of 174 miles on a single charge.

 

Others yet to announce their line-ups

Amongst the new van manufacturers above are some yet to announce their plans for the 2018 CV Show, these include LDV vans and Iveco vans.
