The 2019 awards will be held on Tuesday 26th March 2019 at the Seven Dials Club, Covent Garden London with no fewer than 22 different awards available for those in the new van industry to enter.

Below are a pick of the new van awards on offer and the criteria which needs to be met in order to qualify in each of the categories.

Best Small Delivery Van

This category is open to all new vans under 1.0-tonne gross vehicle weight (GVW), to be eligible vans must be on sale in the UK by December 31st 2018.

Scooping the award in 2018 was the Vauxhall Corsavan 1.3 CDTi 95ps ecoFLEX Start/Stop small van.

Best Small Trades Van

This category is open to all new vans under 2.5-tonnes gross vehicle weight (GVW), to be eligible vans must be on sale in the UK by December 31st 2018.

Scooping the award in 2018 was the Volkswagen Caddy 1.2 TSI C20 84ps Startline BMT small van.

Best Large Trades Van

This category is open to all new vans between 2.5-tonnes and 3.0-tonnes gross vehicle weight (GVW), to be eligible vans must be on sale in the UK by December 31st 2018.

The award was shared in 2018 between the Citroen Dispatch 1.6 Blue Hdi M 115ps Enterprise S/S and the Peugeot Expert 1.6 Blue Hdi 115ps Professional S/S medium vans.

Best Heavy Van

This category is open to all new vans between 3.0-tonnes and 3.5-tonnes gross vehicle weight (GVW), to be eligible vans must be on sale in the UK by December 31st 2018.

Scooping the award in 2018 was the Volkswagen Crafter CR30 L3 H3 TDI 102ps Startline large van.

Best pick-up van

This category is open to all pick-ups, either single or double cab with a towing capacity of 3.5-tonnes or less, to be eligible pick-ups must be on sale in the UK by December 31st 2018.

Scooping the award in 2018 was the Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 V6 TDI 204ps Highline BMT Automatic pick-up.

Best green van

This category is open to all new vans under 3.5-tonnes GVW that reduce their impact on the environment whilst on the road with technology and efficiency enhancements, to be eligible vans must be on sale in the UK by December 31st 2018.

Scooping the award in 2018 was the Renault Kangoo ZE 33 Business electric van.

Best crew van

This category is open to all new crew, combi and cabin-in-van style vans up to 3.5-tonnes GVW, to be eligible vans must be on sale in the UK by December 31st 2018.

Scooping the award in 2018 was the Volkswagen Transporter Kombi T30 SWB 2.0 TDI 102ps Highline BMT crew van.

Business Van of the Year

The biggest award of them all, after all of the winners of the categories above are collated, the judging panel opts for an overall winner.

Business Van of the Year 2018 was named as the Volkswagen Caddy 1.2 TSI C20 84ps Startline BMT small van.
