Kia is continuing to demonstrate its new PV5 electric van in all its versatile glory with the launch of a rough and ready concept, the Kia PV5 WKNDR.
Designed to offer a fully self-sufficient experience when out on the trail, the PV5 WKNDR features solar panels and unique hydro turbine wheels that can recharge its batteries for various uses.
Oversized, off-road tyres are included to give the PV5 WKNDR a higher ground clearance and grip to tackle rougher surfaces to help you find your own private spot in the wilderness.
Inside, the PV5 WKNDR features a flexible, modular interior that can be customised to maximise space and functionality. This includes the ‘Gear Head’, which can also be converted into a mobile pantry, ideal for those who enjoy a spot of cooking in the great outdoors with a view.
There are also sustainable materials, such as Nike Grind flooring, made from recycled trainers, which Kia says provides functional and aesthetic benefits.
This is the third all-purpose concept of the PV5 to be launched in as many weeks following on from the PV5 Spielraum and Glow, which doubles as a mobile office and kitchen.
The standard Kia PV5 will go on sale later this year and will offer a 249-mile range and 30-minute fast-charging capability
