The Nissan Townstar has been named as ‘Small Van of the Year’ by automotive title Company Car and Van, marking the second year in a row that the van has picked up an accolade in the awards.
The EV variant of the van was awarded Small Electric Van of the Year twelve months ago thanks to its position as one of the most versatile small EV vans on the market, with a class-leading zero emission range of up to 183 miles.
Building on that success, the Townstar has now taken the accolade as best small van overall with both the original L1 model and the longer wheelbase L2 variant proving to be popular with customers.
A five-year or 100,000-mile warranty, which includes roadside assistance, provides extra assurance for customers, with the EV version benefitting from an eight-year or 100,000-mile battery.
"We couldn’t be more delighted to start 2025 with another accolade for Townstar," a spokesperson for Nissan said.
"It is a vehicle we are incredibly proud of and it is wonderful that it continues to receive recognition in awards schemes.
"At Nissan, we are well aware that Townstar’s advanced safety features, versatile configurations and practical capabilities suit a wide range of business operations – and it seems as though the awards judges at Company Car and Van feel the same way."
The Townstar also won Compact Van of the Year and Electric Van of the Year at the 2024 What Van? Awards.
