New Vauxhall Combo revealed!

New Vauxhall Combo revealed!

Following the recent reveal of the new Citroen Berlingo in MPV Multispace form, Vauxhall vans have revealed the new Vauxhall Combo in Life MPV format, with the panel van reveals to follow in the coming months!

New Vauxhall Combo

Recently acquired by PSA (a combination of Citroen vans and Peugeot vans), Vauxhall vans have revealed their new Vauxhall Combo in MPV form called the Combo Life. The reveal follows just days after another PSA small van MPV, the new Citroen Berlingo Multispace was revealed. In the creation of the new Vauxhall Combo. In a result of their partnership with PSA, Vauxhall vans have ended their collaboration with Fiat vans and the Fiat Doblo Cargo and based their new small van on the Citroen Berlingo.

Exterior design

When comparing the new Vauxhall Combo to the recently revealed Citroen Berlingo, it is apparent that the new Combo has been heavily influenced by its sister van from Citroen vans, however the Combo opts for a more simplistic appearance instead of the Airbump panels in conjunction with the latest Vauxhall brand face. Peugeot vans have yet to reveal the new Peugeot Partner van, again expected to be in MPV Tepee format, however the new van is sure to resemble both the new Berlingo and new Combo vans.

Interior

Inside the cabin of the new van, the new Vauxhall Combo receives the horizontal dashboard from the new Citroen Berlingo van, whilst an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment and navigation display is also available. The most noticeable difference between the two new vans is the steering wheel which is altered from the Berlingo to a Vauxhall branded one in the Combo. The cabin is expected to be equally as spacious and comfortable.

Features

The Combo Life model has gained a number of new features, a number of which will find their way across to the panel van range. New technology additions to the Combo Life, include: head-up display, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

What models are available?

As with the new Berlingo, Vauxhall vans have remained coy about the specific details of the new Vauxhall Combo panel van, however we do know that the new Combo Life model (pictured above) will be available in a choice of two wheelbases, 4.4 metres and 4.75 metres. As with the Berlingo, both wheelbase models of the Vauxhall Combo Life will be available with a selection of five or seven seats.

What engines are available?

Vauxhall vans have yet to publish detailed information on the information surrounding the engines available in the new Combo Life and new Combo panel van, however we expect the 1.5-litre diesel engines and 1.2-litre petrol engines expected to feature in the new Berlingo to also play a part in the Combo range.
