Volkswagen Transporter (On Sale Now)
Arguably the most significant launch of 2025 comes right at the top of the year with the launch of the seventh generation Volkswagen Transporter.
The latest in an iconic lineage of vans wearing a VW badge, the Transporter of 2025 exists as the distant relative of the original VW Type 2, one of motoring’s most iconic and recognisable silhouettes.
The seventh generation Transporter gets off to a good start by being based on the best-selling Ford Transit Custom with which it shares the same generously sized cargo bay, quality interior and punchy engines.
Compared with its predecessor, the new VW Transporter has grown in length to swell its load space capacity, while software upgrades see the introduction of a large Bluetooth infotainment system, a raft of technical safety features and an all-electric e-Transporter.

Kia PV5 Cargo (On Sale Summer 2025)
Korean powerhouse Kia enters the commercial space for the first time with latest addition to its all-electric range, the Kia PV5 Cargo.
The PV5 Cargo scores strong EV points with its boast of a 249-mile range – which exceeds most other electric MCVs – rapid charging abilities and advanced OTA (over-the-air) connectivity features aimed at improving efficiency and lowering business costs.
It is set to herald the first of multiple new commercial offerings from Kia, including a smaller PV3 and larger PV7 and PV9 models.
Renault Trafic (On Sale 2026)
Following the launch of the new Master, the Renault Trafic looks to be next-in-line for the French manufacturer’s attention.
We have already had a good hint of what to expect following the unveiling of an electric prototype wearing the Trafic E-Tech name badge earlier in the year.
Developed in collaboration with Flexis – a company founded by Renault Group, Volvo Group and CMA CGM (Geely) – and built on a fresh modular platform, the Trafic E-Tech dons a contemporary, minimalist look for its fourth generation without sacrificing cargo room.
It is set to go on sale in 2026 and should be followed by the equivalent version of the sister Nissan Primastar too.

Vauxhall Movano and Vivaro Hydrogen (On Sale Now)
Following a successful trial in Germany under the Opel moniker, the brand’s UK Vauxhall arm is now readying a fleet of hydrogen fuel cell powered versions of its Movano and Vivaro.
While a limited hydrogen fuel infrastructure has long been the hurdle for manufacturer’s investing in FCH technology, both the Movano and Vivaro do showcase its benefits with impressive range that exceeds other EV vans, zero emissions from the tailpipe and the facility to be refuelled in under five minutes.
Farizon SV (On Sale April 2025)
Yet another new and ambitious Chinese manufacturer hitting these shores, Farizon arrives as a potential disrupter to the commercial vehicle market with its first offering, the Farizon SV.
Though the SV has a task to shoulder the burden of getting the unknown brand off the ground, Farizon does have the backing of Geely – which owns Volvo, Polestar and Lotus – and is promising class-leading EV range at a competitive price versus its more established rivals.
Skywell 233 (On Sale Spring 2025)
It has only recently arrived on these shores with its first UK-market SUV but Skywell will turn its attention to the commercial segment in 2025 with its first van, the Skywell 233.
With the Ford Transit firmly in its sights, the electric Skywell 233 will be offered in two lengths and promises cutting-edge technology, a classy interior and a capacious cargo hold.
BYD E-Vali (On Sale Late 2025)
Not content with shaking up the passenger car market with its good value, high-quality electric models, BYD is set to expand its commercial portfolio with the BYD E-Vali.
Aimed at last-mile delivery services, the E-Vali comes with BYD’s innovative blade battery technology and is promising more cargo capacity than the likes of the Iveco eDaily and Renault Master E-Tech.
Iveco MCV/LCV (On Sale 2026)
Though yet to be revealed in public, it is known Iveco is working on a pair of new models that will slot beneath the Iveco Daily.
However, we can get a good idea of what to expect from Iveco developing these models in conjunction with Stellantis. As such, there is a strong chance Iveco’s new vans will share much with the Citroen Dispatch/Peugeot Expert/Vauxhall Vivaro and Citroen Relay/Peugeot Boxer/Vauxhall Movano when they’re revealed in 2026.
In the meantime, there is no word yet on whether the Iveco eMoovy (pictured) will make it to the UK. The European market model is designed to be a more compact Luton box van and is based on the Hyundai Staria.
New Pick-Up Trucks Coming In 2025
Ford Ranger PHEV (On Sale Spring 2025)
It already has one of the most comprehensive line-ups in the pick-up sector but the Ford Ranger ‘range’ will gain an important new addition this spring with a plug-in hybrid version.
Mating a 2.3-litre petrol engine to an 11.8kWh battery, the Ranger PHEV can complete around 26 miles on zero emission battery power alone.

Isuzu D-Max BEV (On Sale Autumn 2025)
Isuzu will be one of the first manufacturers to bite the electric bullet with the launch of a BEV D-Max later in the year.
The Japanese marque’s popular Isuzu D-Max range will be updated to include a zero emissions model without losing the strengths of its excellent go-anywhere ability.

The Maxus brand is gaining momentum in the commercial sector right now, with the Maxus eTerron 9 pick-up the latest addition to the Chinese marque’s growing range.
Replacing the electric T90, the eTerron 9 packs raised sophistication and a more efficient battery powertrain into a suitably rugged package.
