There's another new pickup on the way this year. Well, not entirely new - the Isuzu D-Max is getting a facelift and an engine overhaul to bring it in line with Euro 6 emissions standards.
The second-generation D-Max pickup gets a brand new 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine with a power output of 160ps and a maximum torque rating of 360Nm.
You may notice that this is slightly down on the previous 2.5-litre's max torque capacity, but don't worry - the D-Max retains its 3.5-tonne towing capacity and 1-tonne payload.
According to Isuzu, the new engine is a lot quieter - providing a far more refined and car-like driving experience. There are no details on fuel economy although given that the new engine is compliant with Euro 6 legislation the new D-Max should deliver improved fuel economy as well as lower emissions. It's worth noting that the new engine is compliant with Euro 6 standards without the need for AdBlue solution.
