Iveco, Stellantis Joins Forces For Launch Of Two New Electric Vans

Iveco, Stellantis Joins Forces For Launch Of Two New Electric Vans

Iveco and Stellantis have announced plans to collaborate on two new electric van models that will join the Italian marque’s commercial line-up in 2026.

The deal, which spans for ten years, will see Stellantis – parent company of FIAT, Chrysler, Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall/Opel and Jeep among others – supply one model that falls within the 2.8-3.1 tonne gross vehicle weight bracket and another that spans 3.5-4.25 tonne GVW.

Though the identity of these vehicles remains under wraps, it is worth pointing out that the quoted GVWs are similar to that of Stellantis’ current expansive range of MCVs and LCVs (mid-size and large commercial vehicles), such as the Citroen Dispatch/Relay and Vauxhall Vivaro/Movano.

What is known however, is that both models will be electric and will complement the Iveco Daily and Iveco eDaily, which comprises the firm’s UK commercial van line-up. Indeed, while the Daily already fulfils a role within the LCV class, its separate ladder framed chassis architecture makes it better suited to heavy duty transportation than models like the aforementioned Dispatch/Movano.

The two news models – which will likely be revealed this year before hitting the road in 2026 – will be distributed and serviced exclusively through Iveco’s dealer network throughout Europe, including the UK.

The new deal, which comes about as Iveco move to reduce its carbon emissions, will herald the company’s debut in the medium-size commercial van sector.

Luca Sra, President, Truck Business Unit, Iveco Group, said: “We are excited to add two innovative and versatile battery electric vans to our Light Commercial Vehicle line-up, boosting our competitiveness in the van segment.

“By choosing to partner with Stellantis Pro One, we are leveraging the extensive know-how and strong presence in Italy and Europe that historically tie our companies. I am confident that this winning collaboration will benefit our European customers, in particular for the success of their last-mile logistics businesses.”

Jean Philippe Imparato, Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis for Enlarged Europe: “We are proud to collaborate with an Italian and world-leading company like IVECO and this happened because we are European LCV market leaders thanks to our operational excellence, the quality of our products, and our ability to develop battery drive technology, which helps reduce polluting emissions and protect the environment.”
