You've all heard of the Peugeot Partner van, today at Vansdirect we got hands-on with a five seater version of the Partner, the Peugeot Partner crew van!
Introduction to the Peugeot Partner crew van
The Peugeot Partner crew van is comfortable and economical, while still containing sufficient loadspace for all of your key cargo. The crew van contains a three-seater folding bench seat in the second row, with integrated, movable bulkhead.
Features of the Peugeot Partner crew van
Available in one size (L2H1), the Peugeot Partner crew van is fitted with an efficient 1.6-litre BlueHDi Euro 6 compliant diesel engine which delivers an output of 100ps. The crew van contains: deadlocks, central locking, 2 plip keys with separate locking for cab.
Inside the cab
Inside the cab of the Peugeot we firstly found the reach and rake adjustable driver's seat, which we could easily adjust to our specific requirements, the front passenger seat is individual for increased driver and passenger space and comfort. We also found a host of practical storage solutions, including in the central armrest and glovebox.
Seating and load area
The load area is separated from the second row of seating by a movable bulkhead. The bulkhead didn't fully effect visibility through the rear window, with the translucent nature of the bulkhead allowing some visibility. With the rear seating in place, the Partner crew van has an impressive 2.4 cubic metres of loadspace. Access to both seating and load area is made easy with twin sliding side-doors and rear doors that open to 180 degrees. We also found 6 tie-down hooks in the load area to safely secure your cargo.
Performance of the Peugeot Partner crew van
We spent time looking at all of the features of the new van, but how did it drive? We found the Partner crew van a very comfortable and smooth drive, while the gearstick of the 5-speed manual transmission is well positioned in conjunction with the comfortable driving position. The Partner crew van smoothly accelerates to higher speeds, while we found the brakes incredibly responsive. We also noticed the hazard lights automatically activating if we did brake heavily. Finally, the Partner was incredibly efficient to drive, with the capability of easily achieving a fuel economy in excess of 60 miles to the gallon.
