Electric Renault Master E-Tech Lands Another Top Van Accolade
The latest generation Renault Master has bolstered its award portfolio after the all-new zero-emissions Master E-Tech was named ‘Best Electric Van’ at the 2025 DrivingElectric Awards.
Coming hot on the heels of the freshly updated model earning the prestigious International Van of the Year 2025 accolade, this time it is the 100% electric Renault Master E-Tech in the award spotlight.
One of a selection of new electric-powered vans to hit the market in recent months, the Renault Master E-Tech is developed on an all-new platform engineered specifically to integrate battery power without demanding a compromise on load capacity and towing ability.
Available in two energy storage capacity variants – 40kWh and 87kWh – the Master E-Tech can achieve up to 285 miles of range. In its larger guise, the Master E-Tech 87kWh powers a 141bhp motor delivering 300Nm of torque, while it boasts a 1,625kg payload capacity and can tow 2.5 tonnes
In addition to being praised for its ‘smooth driving experience and huge cargo volume’, the Renault Master E-Tech was also singled out for its frugal innovations, including the potential to harvest up to 95kW of energy from its dynamic braking system and Vehicle To Load (V2L), which allows for devices, power tools and even custom-built machinery – such as refrigerated compartments and air-conditioning systems – to be powered directly from the battery.
Behind the wheel, drivers can also benefit from advanced Aerovan aerodynamics for a more sophisticated on-road experience and a 10-inch OpenR Link touchscreen, while Google is also built-in.
Adam Wood, Managing Director, Renault UK, said: “The New Master E-Tech is the pinnacle of Renault’s electrified van range and it is great to see it continue its winning streak. It provides today’s business customers with an unrivalled package which blends car-like comfort and convenience with pure-electric efficiency and the capability of a class-leading large van.”
The LCV Master E-Tech is joined in Renault’s electric van range by the Renault Kangoo E-Tech and Renault Trafic E-Tech.
