To bring in the New Year with a BANG, we've slashed the prices on our big vans! These big beasts drove (sorry!) the market in 2016, with demand reaching unprecedented levels.
By now the reasons are well documented - the rise of internet shopping which in turn has created thousands of additional courier jobs. Of course, this isn't the only reason to use a big van - you may regularly carry big, awkward items or have to carry large loads.
Here are some of our best deals on big vans in January.
Mercedes Sprinter (from £239pm)
The 'supercar' of the van world, the Mercedes Sprinter offers performance, power and economy. Furthermore, a cavernous load area allows for the storage and/or transportation of a LOT of equipment or cargo. With a Euro 6-compliant engine the Sprinter is an excellent choice for van operators in and around London. In fact, emissions zones are due to be expanded across the country so Euro 6 is about to get far more important to everybody, not just those in London. The Sprinter offers excellent refinement (great for long distance driving) and build quality as well as a pleasurable drive thanks to its supple suspension. The Sprinter is also available as a Luton van.
Peugeot Boxer (from £169pm)
You know the story by now. The Peugeot Boxer shares a body with both the Citroen Relay and Fiat Ducato. As such, all three are very similar in terms of power and dimensions, although features may differ. The Peugeot Boxer offers a range of body sizes so you can choose exactly the right van for your requirements. Easy to drive, the Boxer maintains a composed drive even with a full load. Peugeot's 'top-spec' model is the 'Professional', which comes with the following features as standard: A full steel bulkhead, air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors, digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and a touchscreen with integrated navigation.
Ford Transit (from £209pm)
The 'Backbone of Britain' is how Ford describes the Transit, and it's hard to disagree, especially when you realise that the Transit is in fact Ford's best-selling vehicle in the UK, after the Fiesta and Focus. Some going. Ford claim that there are 450 model variants of the Transit, which continues to be a top-seller over 50 years after it was launched. If there's one thing you can expect from a Transit, its reliability. The van has been fine-tuned over its life, resulting in the current generation model which was been tested to within an inch of its life (Example: 250,000 door slams. No, really) and has been developed to provide the best possible solution for the end user.
Iveco Daily (from £299pm)
The current generation Iveco Daily is practically a completely new van. Before you ask "Isn't every van completely new?" - This refers to the van's design. According to Iveco around 80 percent of the Daily's components have been redesigned, although it has retained the classic ladder-frame chassis that it's known for. The Daily offers colossal dimensions, with a maximum load volume of 19.6 cubic metres (yes, you read that right) with big payloads to boot. As standard comes a sliding side load door with an aperture wide enough to accommodate a Euro pallet.
